    Prophecy of the Most Beautiful

    (Oracle of Delphi #1)

    By Diantha Jones

    Genre: Young Adult Fantasy

Synopsis: She has a destiny so great that even the gods fear her.

Constant hallucinations and the frequent conversations with the voices in her head, have earned eighteen-year-old Chloe Clever the not-so-coveted title of "Whack Job" in her home town of Adel, Georgia. With the onslaught of prescription medications and therapists threatening to push her over the edge, she wishes for a life far away from the one she has, a life where she is destined to be more than the butt of everyone's jokes and mockery.

Be careful what you wish for has never rung more true.

After living through an attack from her worst nightmare, she awakens to find herself far from home, surrounded by glorious riches and servants…and a few demigods who enjoy killing things. Upon learning that her favorite rockstar is an Olympian god, she is thrust into her new life as the Oracle of Delphi, the prophesier of the future, and the great Pythia that the gods have been anxiously awaiting to arrive for centuries. Setting out to fulfill the prophecy she has been given and to keep her family safe from a demigod Princess that wants her dead, Chloe learns of how great she is to become, all the while fighting mythical monsters, evading divine assassins and trying to outwit the ever-cunning Greek gods who harbor secrets of their own. In the hopes of discovering the Most Beautiful and the truth of her destiny, she strives to uncover the mysteries of the demigod Prince who has sworn to protect her with his life…and threatens to win her heart in the process.

    Reviews

"It's filled with suspense, forbidden romance and wit! What more could a reader ask for?"

"Both the title and content of this book clearly show that this is something meant for teenage girls, particularly teenage girls who are into converses, slightly punky fashion, and of course greek myths. As a result a lot of the time the book is light, or deals with the characters growing infatuation with each other. But just because this is a typical teen girl book does not mean that others may not enjoy reading it, I know I did."

"There's action and adventure throughout the entire book, which pulled me right in. I'm not normally one to read books within this genre but I must say that I am glad I read this one."

    Author Bio

    Syndicated from her website.

I was born the day thousands of turkeys sacrificed their lives to fill millions of American bellies –– Thanksgiving Day (My mother says I owe her a turkey for interrupting her meal). I was born in Texas, but never lived there, so no, I am NOT from Texas. I’m from Georgia and that’s just all there is to it.

I grew up a military brat (I’m bad ass for that alone) and moved around a lot, but no matter where I was, I always had books. Lots and lots of books. My mother kept me in the library, not that she had to force me, and I read constantly growing up. My first series was the Babysitters Club, and I went at it hardcore. I owned most of the series and was even a member of the fan club. Good times. But that was just the beginning. I’ve read hundreds of books since then, and along the way, I found my gift for writing.

Sad to say, I’ve trashed more stories than I’ve shared. I’m one of those writers that won’t let anyone read something I’m not proud of. It’s just not happening. I’m sure my fellow authors/writers out there would agree. But I think it had more to do with not knowing who I was or what I really wanted out of life.

    But I do now.

Writing is BOSS. I’ve been writing everyday for the past few years without fail. Even if it’s just a few paragraphs. It’s a PASSION, something I can’t live without. And I have so many ideas crawling around in my head that I just have to do something with them! I’ve chosen to share them with all of you.

Besides writing and reading every book I can get my hands on, I love God, movies and PREMIUM cable television. Yes, PREMIUM. That means HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc. No ABC Family for me (though I do watch “Switched at Birth” religiously). I’m a bit of a karaoke junkie (My dad is too, so I guess you can say, it’s inherited) and I love listening to classical music while I write. Besides high heels and doubleshots, I like french fries (and snack cakes!) and downloading unnecessary apps to my iPhone. I thought I liked the beach, tried it a few times, have decided that I’m not really a fan, and I wear eyeglasses sometimes even though my vision is perfectly fine. I’m scared of heights, I love thunderstorms, and adore Capri Suns. Oh, the Capri Suns (the grocery store by my house has a 10 for $10 deal that I take advantage of regularly).

Above all, I’m blessed. With family and friends who care about me and support me and keep me laughing. Humor RULES. I love all of you and wouldn’t trade any of you for all the gold in the world (Circumstances pending)(wink, wink).
